As much I want bao bun to be the next &quot;burger&quot;, the usage of kewpie (oo, Japanese mayo SOO cool) AND sriracha (ooo, &quot;Vietnamese&quot; hot sauce mass produced in America)  is a blatant hipster food move, turning a tradition Taiwanese food item into a nondescript Momofuk-u-wannabe.

Try some Indonesian sambal instead? It goes about 10x better with pork than kewpie.  Or better yet, find a bottle of Taiwanese plum sauce and go nuts.</description>
