Burger with onions, tomatoes, ketchup: “Tomatoes and onions were really good! Meat was juicy but too much of it. Fries got old after first bite.” GRADE: B
Cheeseburger w/ ketchup, mushrooms, grilled onions: “Okay burger. Nothing to write home about. Even with good toppings the taste is just unimaginative.” GRADE: B-
No burger type noted: “Great ‘diner’ burger – but overpriced for a diner. Fries neutral but not excited.” GRADE: A-
Bacon cheeseburger w/ onion, pickle, ketchup, and mustard: ” I have to admit that I said ‘mmmmmm’ after every single bite. It was just that tasty. Ate way too much but didn’t feel at all sick. I liked that the bacon was broken up for easier and less messy eating. The cheese had flavor. The fries were a little under done, but there were like so many of us. The lights were to bright, but the classic rock was slick. Needs milkshakes. GRADE: A
Little cheeseburger with mayo, tomato, pickles and bacon cheese dog: “Bacon cheese dog! Very greasy and artery-clogging delicious! Service was great – fast with a smile! Burger was delicious and greasy; roll was soft and potato-y. Great value for fast food! Fries needed just a bit of salt but were awesome. Kudos for malt vinegar!“ GRADE: A
Burger with onions, green peppers and ketchup: “Pros – topping selection, decent bun, crisp bacon to perfection. Cons – well done, crumbling beef patty.” GRADE: B

The regular cheeseburger with A-1: “Bun kicked-ass. Cheese was the ‘good’ ‘American cheese food’ cheese! (Not good for you I’m sure) Pricey but really good. Lights are too bright for after 5pm. Probably the best fast food burger I’ve ever had. This place is seriously missing milkshakes though. Fries were a little under done, but we rolled in 30 deep, so I’m sure they were rushing. Love the skin on fries!GRADE: A-
Little bacon cheeseburger w/ ketchup: BURGER NOVICE! [in the house] Extremely tasty. Loved the bun. Bacon was crispy and wonderful. Meat was thin slab which was great. Cheese was delicious.GRADE: A
Little bacon cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms: “For someone who has just started eating burgers – this is a gateway burger! I want to eat other burgers as a direct result of this burger! It’s that good. Great patty to melty goodness ratio! Supports a multitude of condiments. Great fries. On the downside, I may need to shower to get this 5 Guys smell out of my hair and skin.” GRADE: A-
Cheeseburger w/ lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and mustard: “The decor is weak and they don’t sell beer but I’m so freaking happy right now. I don’t care. Excellent burger, better fries.” GRADE: A
Famous cheeseburger w/ lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard: “patty was perfect, bun was a little weak but I liked it. Burger in general was perfect: messy, juicy, melted in my mouth. Fries are some of the best in the city. I didn’t want it to end! All the ingredients were super fresh, even the tomato which aren’t even in season right now.” GRADE: A+
Cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup: “Pro – burger meat chef cooker told me I was his man and I needed napkins. Less than $9 with fries and soda = cool. Flavor was good, sesame seed buns = classic. Con – got a little cheeseburger, when I ordered a regular. Needed more beef.” GRADE: B-
Little cheeseburger w/ lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and ketchup: “I love the choose your toppings, they’re fast and friendly and it’s a consistently very awesome. Oh and cheap (in a good way).” GRADE: B

Little bacon cheeseburger with onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, mustard and Cajun fries: “The little bacon cheeseburger was perfect. The bacon was crunchy and so very good. Tomato was surprisingly tasty for not being in season. Bun is soft and squishy but holds the burger together nicely. Always love the Cajun fries. Closest thing I can get to, in Philly, for my favorite kind of burger. Service was fast and very friendly. TRENDS
Top three choices of burgers:
- Cheeseburger
- Little bacon cheeseburger
- Bacon cheeseburger
People seem to like cheese. That makes me very happy.
Top three toppings:
- Onion
- Lettuce/Tomato tied
- Pickles
Someone had green peppers on their burger. I don’t believe I’ve ever tried that.
Top three condiments:
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Mayo
There was one other condiment selected for a burger and that was A-1 sauce. An interesting choice indeed.
IN SUMMARY
What a great night BCP had. We basically took over Five Guys and the staff there were so great about it. They were super friendly and so fast! I was really impressed. It was exactly what BCP is meant to be; people getting together, eating burgers and then talking about burgers. It couldn’t get any better…well if they had been serving milkshakes it would have been a little better.
Five Guys expensive?: I was surprised by some of the scorecard responses. Several people mentioned they thought Five Guys was expensive. That has never come to mind for me with respect to Five Guys. Yes their patties are on the smaller size but I find their portions pretty generous and their ingredients of good quality. I wish I was able to pull more from people’s responses but I compile the results after the fact.
BCP on fries: A few folks found the fries to be undercooked. The Five Guys fries do tend to be on the softer side but this is the way I like my fries so it has never bothered me. The same people that commented about them were also understanding enough to note that there were a ton of us in there at the time and that might have something to do with the fries. I am afraid that is not the case, though it was nice of folks to consider it. On the other hand many folks raved about the fries. Fries can be so polarizing, luckily everyone got along and there were no altercations relating to fry preferences.
Yay toppings!: Another popular comment about Five Guys was how great the selection of toppings were. People seemed very excited to have all those options though not many of them strayed from standard burger toppings. Maybe it was just having the option that made people happy.
I like your buns: People loved the buns and they really are the best kind of burger bun. Super soft and squishy but holds the burger together really well. I like mayo, ketchup and mustard and even with all those condiments my bun never got soggy.
Milkshakes please: Many in the group wished they served milkshakes and I would agree with this as well.
THANKS FOR THE LOVE
